Vata Prakruti: Exercise more Worry Less



In previous article we saw the body type which Dosha resemble with our own body.
Ayurveda focuses on how to maintain physical and emotional health.

Food and lifestyle routine are considered as medicine in ayurveda.

While reading about the characteristics of each dosha body type we might have also noticed that our body might have mixed characters from any two doshas.  This  is called dual dosha body type. Tridosh body type is influenced by Vata , Pitta, and Kapha equally.
      
Now let's talk about the how to maintain our doshas  with the help of proper diet and lifestyle.


Vata dosha body type:
        This is universal rule that like like increases and opposite decreases
        Quality of Vata Dosha is dry,cold, light , rough, clear, irregular,. So if our vata dosha is imbalanced, we may have to use opposite of these qualities like oily , warm, solid , heavy to digest food.

         In balanced state,  characteristics of vata dosha people is smooth skin , regular bowel  function ,  active  joy full person they are quick learner, they are confident,, alert person  , their sleep pattern is light but deep sleep.
       If vata dosha is imbalanced People with Vaata prakruti get restless, nervous , irritable,.  anxious , worried.
Their Skin gets  dry , they get body pain,  muscular stiffness,  suffer from  constipation
Also loud voice is not tolerable to them and they face difficulty in  sleeping.



Causes which Aggravate aggregate Vata Dosha :  Dry or frozen food, Irregular schedule of eating and sleeping , Not eating enough food according to body requirement. Suppression of bodily urges like yawning, sneezing, urine and stool. Over exertion eat while worried . Eating food quickly. 


Food and lifestyle routine  to balance the Vata dosha 

Sleep pattern:  follow time table much organised sleep.
Daily exercise :should be done Pranayam Anulom Vilom very much helpful for them.
Massage : Oil massage regularly is very good for Vata Dosha people.
Meditation is good for relaxing.
Keep body warm  especially in lower portion 
Eat  warm food and spices

Food recommend for Vata dosha people 

Carrot, Pumpkin, Radish , sweet potato, olive,
Banana ,citrus fruit, mango ,papaya dates, grapes , rice  ,wheat, pasta, moog bean 
and  all type  of oils spices like clove garlic, ginger , cardamom, cinamom, asafoetida .

Vegetables and fruits juice with out ice.

Food To be Avoided

Cauliflower, cabbage, peas, pear, melons, barley ,corn  , kidney beans, lentils, funugreek seed .

Vata dosha is constituted from Akash and vayu so in our daily diet dominate in sweet, sour, salty tastes.

Basically  sweet, sour, salty tastes decrease vata dosha and pungent, bitter , astringent  tastes increases vata dosha.

If we adapt our daily diet and lifestyle routine as per our doshas we far away from diseases.
